This is my 11th year on the LI Committee for the Annual American Heart Association Go Red for Women Luncheon, which is taking place on April 26, 2023 at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Long Island.
With more than 800 attendees, the luncheon focuses on the importance of women’s health and heart health awareness.
Go Red For Women is a national organization promoted by the American Heart Association.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the U.S. of ALL AGES, and Go Red is able to bring awareness of heart disease to millions of women every year.
With COVID still a concern, it’s important to understand the effects the virus can have, and that it can damage heart muscle and affect heart function.
In 2008, my grandmother passed away of congestive heart failure, two months after heart surgery, with no prior complications.
I joined the Go Red Committee 11 years ago in honor of my grandma and to bring awareness of heart disease to women.
I continue to support this great cause and my husband and my boys are my WHY.
Please join me in bringing awareness of this disease – your support & consideration is greatly appreciated.
