This is my 9th year on the LI Committee for the Annual American Heart Association Go Red for Women Event. Due to Covid - this year in place of the luncheon, there will be a "Digital Experience", taking place March 24, 2021.
The Committee focuses on the importance of women's health and brings keynote speakers that have survived this disease.
Go Red for Women is a national organization promoted by the American Heart Association.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in U.S., and Go Red is able to bring awareness of heart disease to millions of women every year.
Due to the implications that Covid has on those with pre-existing heart conditons, now more than ever, it's important to understand the effects of heart disease.
The first known experience of heart disease in our family was in June 2008, when my grandmother passed away of congestive heart failure, 2 months after surgery.
I joined the Go Red Committee 9 years ago in honor of my grandma and to bring awareness of heart disease to women.
I continue to support this great cause and my husband and boys are my WHY.
Please join me in bringing awareness of this disease - your support is greatly appreciated.
