Chair, 2019 Hamptons Heart Ball
Dear Friend of Heart,
As we all know, cardiovascular disease is still the No. 1 cause of death and your gift to the American Heart Association is an important way you can join in our mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Part of that mission is to educate our Long Island and NYC communities on the risk factors and signs of a heart attack and stroke.
Pictured below is Mederick, a 9-year-old boy that was born with half a heart; the left side of his heart is smaller than a pea. He has had a total of 9 cardiac interventions. 70% of the children with this condition survive the first surgery and 70% of those survivors will live to 5 years old.
Just 35 years ago saving a blue baby like Mederick was unheard of.
25 years ago they began to have ground breaking success. What progress will tomorrow bring? You can be part of that hope.
Continued research and on-going education would not be possible without the support of donors like you!
I hope that you will consider supporting the important work of the American Heart Association. Your commitment will allow us to recognize you at the 2019 Hamptons Heart Ball on June 22, 2019 and put your donation to work right away, funding research, improving health and saving lives.
A gift of $5,000 or more qualifies you for membership in the elite Cor Vitae Philanthropic Society, however every gift, of any amount, saves lives and the amount you give is entirely up to you. You can donate online at or mail a check to: Hamptons Heart Ball, 125 E. Bethpage Rd, Suite 100, Plainview, NY 11803.
The American Heart Association is committed to helping people live stronger, healthier lives through education, research and public policies that will make an impact on where they live and work. I want to thank you for opening your heart to support a cause that means so much to our community.
