I am honored to be a member of the committee for the 2016 Go Red for Women Luncheon benefitting the American Heart Association. Each year the luncheon is attended by over 1,000 people and raises over $600,000 annually. Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s nationwide movement that celebrates the energy, passion and power of American women to band together and wipe out heart disease. Thanks to the participation of millions of people across the country, the color red and the red dress have become linked with the ability all women have to improve their heart health and live stronger, longer lives. Go Red events are wonderful social events where men and women dedicated to making an impact in their community come together to raise awareness, educate and fundraise. Funds raised by Go Red for Women allow the American Heart Association to help individuals by offering educational programs, increase women's understanding about their risk for heart disease and support research to discover scientific knowledge about heart health. It turns science into materials and tools that healthcare providers and decision-makers can use to help women. This year the 15th Annual Go Red for Women Luncheon on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Crest Hollow Country Club will honor role models in the community, our honorees, who are dedicated to the American Heart Association and Go Red Mission, to eliminate heart disease. Your contribution will add to the success of this event. On behalf of the American Heart Association, I would like to thank you in advance for your contribution.
